Sleeping Beauty's Castle at Disneyland!
The future is all about fun & functionality! With the introduction of a brand new streamlined punch design & space saving clear mounted stamp options I am so excited to be able to fit even more amazing products in to my craft space & I'm sure you will be too!!!
I LOVE this little turkey! I have been going through my hords of designer paper (DP) & trying to come up with some ideas to actually put it to good use instead of letting it sit here & collect dust. I saw the idea for a paper strip turkey & it was a perfectly cute way to use some of my fall DP from last year!! Due to the new SU demo rules I can not post a link to the blog I saw it on but a big thank you to Kristina Werner for her cute turkey idea!

Holiday Stamp a Stack Session I Nov 7th (more info coming soon)
Well this months Martha Stewart magazine inspired me to bust out some serious sparkle! Plus Christmas is always bling worthy so here are a couple of my creations. Of course in person these babies really shine! The snowflake card will be part of my Stamp-a- Stack Session I.
Well the Nov/Dec issue of Paper Crafts has finally made it out! I feel like I have been waiting forever to see this card published. It was exciting flipping through the issue & seeing it there on page 75 in all its splendor. j/k LOL! Anyway if you have a chance to take a peek its in there.
Yes I was entertained for hours the other day by a few simple napkins! I had so much fun I can't wait to have you over so I can teach you how to create amazing projects out of napkins!! We have all had or been to parties that had pretty themed napkins. Sometimes they are so beautiful I feel guilty wiping my hands on them. Here are the class details:
Here's one of the first pictures of our new baby girl. This is the coolest technology!! It always makes me feel closer to my baby after I get to see them. I usually wait till I am about 8 months along to get the 3-d but I was so anxious to find out if it was a boy or girl I had it done at 16 weeks which was the soonest they could tell.
My oldest had to have surgery on both knees yesterday. It has been a rough 24 hours but hopefully we can get the pain under control so she can rest comfortably. I am totally exhausted from being at the hospital all day yesterday then up & down with her all night. Anyway just wanted to take a second to give you all a quick update on whats been going on with me & also let you know we found out we are having a baby girl!
I wasn't sure about the In Colors this time around but so far I have been pleasantly surprised how nicely they blend with our traditional colors. This card features Razzleberry, Olive, & Pale Plum. This was the first card I came up with for the stamp-a-stack. It was so difficult to get it done. I kept adding & taking away & moving & turning & changing...Yikes!! You would have thought I was new to this stamping thing. LOL!! But with lots of prayer & effort I came up with this. Not too bad, right?
Its sad to say but I have had $200+ in brand new stampin gear sitting here in boxes for over 2 months. Since I have been sick from the pregnancy even thinking about stamping would make me feel horrible. So weird!! Anyway I have been feeling better lately so I hope that phase is over. Getting back in the swing of things was way more difficult than I thought it would be. I needed to create 5 cards for an upcoming stamp-a-stack & it took me way longer then it should of. I was really doubting my creative abilities. I am still not back to normal but at least I got the 5 cards done & I think they came out ok.
We Have A Baby On The Way!!! Due in late January & that feels like forever away since we are all so excited. My little girls have already begun to plan out who is going to take care of the baby. They keep asking me if the baby is ready to come out of my tummy yet. So cute!!
Anyway I just had to find a few minutes to share the exciting news with you!
Thanks for stopping by!
Be blessed,
Mercedes
I just finished the last of the 10 project samples for my fundraiser event this saturday. This card is my favorite. I LOVE the Blossoms Abound set! So sad that it's retired. But since its one of the sets available in the auction prize baskets I thought it would a great chance to use it. The sentiment is from Happy Harmony which is also retired but available in the auction.
My friend Lynda shared this cute magazine style card box at our last stamp n chat & i thought it would be really fun to make at my fundraiser. Then I saw a cute card by scs pantala40 & it went perfectly with this design so I cased it for the matching cards. Big thanks to Lynda & Kerry!
I have started putting together the silent auction baskets so I thought I'd share one.
Here are a couple more of the 10 fun projects we will be creating at the Stamp Out Breast Cancer Fundraiser on May 23rd! In addition to this fun stamping event we will be having a Pampered Chef demonstration fundraiser from 11:00-2:00. You will get to learn some great recipes, taste some yummy food, & get some quality kitchen tools to benefit this worthwhile cause! All proceeds from both events to benefit the American Cancer Society Breast Cancer Awareness & Early Detection Program. If you can't make it but you would still like to purchase some great Pampered Chef products go to www.pamperedchef.biz/jimandmercedes . Use my name as the host & your order will be added to this fundraiser & shipped directly to you! If you have any questions email me webers4jesus@sbcglobal.net .
Thought this would be a good time to start some mother's day cards. I wanted to use a sentiment besides Happy Mother's Day so I thought I would look through my stash of rub-ons. I already confessed I was a "collector" aka hoarder so using these twice in a week is pretty good for me! Thanks so much for stopping by & may God bless you with a beautiful day!
Yes its 2 am. I really didn't plan to stay up this late but I fell alseep while watching Bolt with my little one then got up awhile later to turn off the computer & figured I would just take a peek at the sketch challenge on SCS really quick.....well you know how that goes. Your brain starts telling your hands to break out the stamps & its all down hill from there. LOL! Ok now really I gotta go to bed. Good Night or Morning!
I saw the cutest idea by Jan Tink while blog hopping this morning. She used the scallop edge & paper crimper to make a ruffled border so I had to give it a try! I decided to make mine a flower. I even used some of those sale-a-bration rub ons I have been hording for 2 years...Yikes! I kept it simple since I really wanted the flower to take center stage. Well life is calling again (actually its my 3 & 4 year old) so I gotta run. Have a Great day!
I have had this little guy sitting on my desk for a few days but my camera has been MIA. Its been killing me not being able to update my blog but thats what I get for having my stamp room looking like a bomb went off in here. Yikes! So I figured I better call in a search party to find my camera & burried under 3 feet of paper there it was. LOL!
I was supposed to be cleaning off my stamping table when I came across a few punched shapes. I saved them from an untimely trip to the garbage & now they will live in my stampin space as this cute little bunny! Card measure 4 1/4 x 4 1/4. Thanks for stopping by today!
I got my circle scissors & just had to try it out! Its SO cool!
Woo Hoo! I have spent over 6 hours creating these tutorials & I am totally doing the happy dance now that I'm finally done!
