Update

This post is just an update...Mom's condition is continuing to get worse. She has been running a fever since Wednesday & the doctors don't really know why. For those that have had to watch a loved one dying my heart breaks for you since I now know your pain. I know the bible says we go through things so that we can be sensitive to others that are hurting so I know at some point we all have our own pain to bare. But the Lord promises to never leave us & when we are weak he will carry us through. I am pretty tough but this has completely broken me. I guess I am even more grateful that Jesus came to heal the broken hearted...Mom just called me crying & says she misses me & if we could come visit her but its way past visiting hours so I just stayed on the phone with her as long as I could. She can't get out too many sentences but she was able to tell me that she loves me & she couldn't find her 49ers shirt (Mom is a HUGE 49er fan) sorry had to throw that in to lighten the mood. I told her I took her clothes home to wash them & I would return her shirt tomorrow. Hopefully she will remember & not give the nurses a hard time about misplacing it. She has already gotten a little feisty with a few of them. Last night my hubby had to go calm her down because she was mad at her roommate for playing the radio too loud & she couldn't sleep. I am thankful that mom has had her dear friend John there with her for the last few days & she is glad too. On the phone she told me he helps her a lot. I can't be there with her all the time because they won't allow the girls there so it has been such a blessing to know that she isn't alone. I wanted to say thank you to Bev & Vicki for sending me such lovely cards letting me know they are praying for us. I appreciate it so very much. Maybe tomorrow I will have a chance to post them for you to enjoy.
Anyway I guess that is all for now...until next time...

  2. My heart goes out to you May God wrap his arms around you and help you through this trying time.
My Mother is almost 90 and her body is wonderful...but her mind has been slowly going for years, She can't remember one minute to the next. I will lose her twice when she goes. I am so happy to have her and dread the day I will be going through what you are now. I really would like to skip it, but that is not our choice.
I have said prayer for you and truley feel for you. I will continue to pray for you.
    Hugs

  3. Praying for you! My Mom passed away about a year ago, my Dad about nine years before that, so I know how hard it is. Sending hugs, Linda

  5. Losing a parent is one of the hardest things anyone can go through. You will get through this and in time things will get better. Hang in there. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

  6. Mercedes, keep sharing and keep connecting. You are not alone, I am sure there are countless people who read this and don't speak up. You are not alone.

I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I lost my dad way too soon and I am sure it is challenging to watch your mom experience all of this. Know that you are loved.
