Its Gonna Be Fancy!

Holy cow Convention 2014 was so much fun! I have LOTS of fun to share but this will just be a quick post to give you a sneak peek at a card kit that will be available in the new Holiday Catalog!

We had the opportunity to get our hands on this amazing kit called Watercolor Winter & let me just say we will be sending some fancy Christmas cards this year! This is by far THE best Simply Created Kit Stampin Up has EVER offered! There was a fun contest to be a little creative with the kit & who ever gets the most likes on Pinterest wins some free products! Whoop Whoop! I hope you check out the pinterest page  & like your favorites, hopefully mine is one of them! Lol! Anyway this kit comes with these amazing die cut glitter phrase! Squeal!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok I must contain my excitement...sooo since they provide these beauties in 4 different languages which sadly I don't speak-I took one of these die cuts & snipped a few of the letters to create my Jesus card.

We only had what was provided in the class to work with so I whipped this up in hopes of entering the contest. Simple but to the point of what Christmas is all about for our family. Thank you for stopping by & please come back soon as I have Big News & lots to share!

Artisan Wednesday Wow- Little Letters

Welcome to the 2013 Artisan Design Teams very last month of blog hops...my eyes are tearing up as I write this. It has been an amazing amazing year & I am so grateful to have had this opportunity!

Ok I better move on before I bust out in full blown water works...lets talk New Big Shot Toys!
If you're like me it is one of the first things I can't wait to see when I crack the pages of the new catalog & I was super happy with this years collection. On the tip top of my wish list were the Little Letters dies so when they were included in our boxes this month I almost did a back flip...well not really because I would have ended up in the E.R. but you know what I mean!
Lets take a look at a couple of fun cards, shall we-

Check out that new embossing folder & the Gold Soiree DSP! Squeal! Quick & Cute just the way I like it!

The next card wasn't quite as fast but Hubby & I celebrated our 10 year anniversary on Friday so it was totally worth the extra effort. He liked it & didn't even mention where I fudged a little. He must have been mesmerized by all that SHINE. Lol! It actually doesn't show up too well but it was Gold Foil paper behind the black so it was really shiny.

Well that's all I have for today so that means its time to hop over to Alanna's place!

Artisan Wednesday Wow- Facebook Edition

How is it possible that this is the last Tuesday in June?! Well welcome to our last hop of the month! I hope you have been enjoying your summer! Its been crazy town around here. I barely know what day it is most of the time. Lol! Anyway today we get to share the projects we made for the Stampin Up facebook page-

As I shared on FB I almost tossed this image after I forgot to give it the breathe of life after I colored it with my markers but decided to just go with it since it had a kind of vintage watercolor look.
Well that's all have for today & if your days are going like mine you don't have time to read much more anyway. Lol!
Quick! Lets jump over to see Alanna!

Artisan Wednesday Wow- Versatility

Welcome back! Thanks for hopping along with us today.
My post is all about stamp set versatility, so lets take a look at the stamp set Amazing Birthday!

Even though you would think it is just geared toward birthdays it has some other stamps in the set that make it very versatile! My favorite is the adorable thank you sentiment so I paired it with another stamp that was at the top of my must have list, Snapshot, to create a card for a sweet family I had the pleasure of photographing last weekend!

I was pretty pumped to see the Hip Hip Hooray card kits made it in to the catalog too! Love those note cards!

Ok so on with our talk about versatility... how about "Dude" cards? I always struggle with those & my brother in laws birthday is coming up so I thought I better get a jump on it so I don't end up taking the card makers walk of shame by sending a "Happy Birthday" email instead of a card. Lol!

And just in case you think the style of that birthday sentiment leans more toward the  masculine side how about a girly version-

Sent this card to my Grandma for her 80th birthday & it even made it on time! Shocker!!!

Anyway hope these cards have inspired you to give the Amazing Birthday set a try for birthdays & beyond. Ok lets go see what Alanna is up to today-

Artisan Wednesday Wow- Be Inspired

Welcome! Hope you are finding lots of inspiration along your way through the hop today!
This month has been bittersweet for the Team as we received our very last box of goodies & realize that our reign as Artisan Team members is coming to an end soon. We are sad yet grateful that not only have we been able to represent Stampin Up & share fun projects with you every week but we also got to make amazing friendships with each other. We have all probably crossed the TMI border more times than we would like to admit but we have also laughed til our stomachs hurt, been there for emotional support through rough times, given encouragement, & strengthened each other in so many ways.  I can truly say I am a better person because I have been part of this group & I can't express my love, appreciation, & respect for each of them enough!
Ok, Ok, I'll stop...How about we talk about something super exciting! The 2014-2015 Catalog! Holy Cow! It's almost worse than Pinterest for as much time as I spend drooling over the amazing creation in there! Well whenever a new catalog comes out I really enjoy getting together with my downline & doing a "Catty Case Night". We usually pick out 4 or 5 cards we would like to case & have a fun evening creating, chatting, & snacking...what? You know there can be no stamping with out food involved! Anyway it was on this night that I decided to modify one of the cards I saw in the catalog-
Yes that little beauty on page 127. I wanted to make it note card size because I'm kinda addicted to those right now & it had more green than I prefer so those were my main changes.

So the reason I share this with you is to inspire you to Be Inspired! Find elements or things you like & incorporate them in to your design. This is what I did when I started stamping almost 10 years ago. I copied things I liked until I found my own style. Sometimes its overwhelming to start from scratch when you feel like your mojo has left the building...trust me, I know! The only thing to remember is out of respect for those sharing their art with you, give proper credit to those that inspire you. Following that principle-My card was inspired by the SU Concept Artist that created the card on pg 127.  Now lets head over to see a friend that inspires me in so many ways, the amazing Alanna Wharf!

Artisan Wednesday Wow- Tagtastic

I swear the months are being sucked in to some crazy vortex or something because I can't believe its JUNE already! My kiddos have a couple weeks of school left, our 10 year anniversary is coming up & its only 6 weeks until Convention! I think the summer months are going to pass even faster which is crazy to think about. Anyway back to the whole point you stopped by...Crafty Goodness!

As you might remember last month was all about PL & those amazing journaling cards
Well we also had the opportunity to use them on our Convention display projects & I cut up a few & had these cute little pieces left over & they just screamed fun so I used them for tags!

I love having tags in my stash. It's is a good way to save time when you need to throw something together in a hurry, like this card...

Squeal! I got to use one of my favorite stamp from the New Catalog! See those adorable polka dots peeking out? Yep My FAVE!
Ok I'm off to make more tags so hop on over to see what fun Alanna has cooked up for ya!
