Too Much Fun Last Night!

Good Friends, Good Food, & Cute Projects! My perfect night for sure! My wonderful hubby made us a yummy dinner while we worked on our Paper Pumpkin projects & a cute Easter treat using Peeps! Thank you ladies for making last night so much fun! Hope no one got in trouble for staying out too late. =)

Used the adhesive sheets to cover one side of the DSP with wax paper. Die cut with Fun Flowers die. The "You Make Me Smile" stamp from the Round Array stamp set just fit so well with this little cutie!

Oh Wow! I am SO loving the This n That bundle of products!!!! 2 words...Washi Tape!!!! Squeel! So stinkin cute! The DSP is probably my favorite of ALL time! Plus the journal is absolutely adorable! I am seriously thinking of getting these as gifts for all my cousins. I already got one for my oldest daughter as part of her Easter basket! Ok let me try to contain myself & share my first card creation made with these Fabulous products...

I think I'm pretty much loving this kit! My Paper Pumpkin Club members will have the option of creating the following cards...

I will provide all the extra embellishments & they can choose which cards they want to make with their kits. The one on the right is the original project idea, then I wanted to show them how they could modify the kit contents & change the look completely! Hope they enjoy my ideas!

March Technique Tuesday!

So excited! I have missed my stamping friends so much! I can't beleive that Sale-a-Bration is already coming to an end but I have a great card for my gals to make tonight! Plus a super cute punch art Easter project but I'll have to show you that later. But for now here is the card...

Strawberry Dress

Ok time for an update...
Mom was realeased to the nursing facility on Monday. The doctor thought it would be best for her to go there but mom had another plan. LOL! Tuesday morning she checked herself out & when I got there she was waiting by the door with all her stuff! So needless to say she is definitely feeling better! Praise God! Thank you all SO much for your prayers! We got mom a walker & she is getting around the house quite well. It was heartbreaking to tell my girls that grandma was so sick & she may not be coming home so they are especially thrilled! With this disease we know how quickly things can chamge so we are just really grateful to have this extra time with her. Anyway how about a card! Now don't stone me but the DSP came from a free pack I got a couple months back in a card making magazing. It was so stinkin cute I just had to pair it with my favorite Dress Form dies!!!

I have had the envelopes addressed & ready for days now but finishing up the Thank You cards has been challenging. So I was happy to be able to complete a few over the last couple days! Since making a bunch of one card is just not my cup of tea I played with a variety of styles & supplies. Anyway here they are...

On another note... my mom might be able to come home tomorrow. She has had 3 days with no fever, her mental state has improved a bit & she has been walking a little better so she may get to come home instead of going to the skilled nursing facility. I picked up a walker, wheel chair, & a cane for her today so if she can come home we are ready. I am really praying that it will work out because she really wants to be home. It makes me sad to think of her alone in the hospital. Thank you for continuing to keep us in your prayers! ~Hugs

I wanted to thank you all again so much for all your comments, love, & prayers! I hope you all know that I truly appreciate it from the bottom of my heart. The Lord has been so faithful through all of this. On Tuesday morning I hit a very low point I was crying uncontrollably & just had such an overwhelming sense of grief & hopelessness. I was here alone with the girls & I knew I couldn't let them see me like that. I tried to get myself together & I just couldn't. I cried out to the Lord to help me, to carry me, to comfort me, to strengthen me & He did all of those things! By the afternoon I was feeling better than I have felt in a while. He is so faithful to give us what we need when we ask. I also found a great blog www.goodmorninggirls.org & the that has continued to keep me strong in Him. Just being reminded of what His truth is & knowing that I can lean on His word & promises has helped me so much. I have been having to do the legal paper work that comes with this type of situation & I was having trouble finding a mobile notary & the Lord provided the perfect answer at just the right time as He always does. Just so happens a friend from church is a Notary! She was so sweet to help us get the forms done so I can help mom with her finances. So a huge Thank you to Teri & also Brittany & Jessica for coming as witnesses! Last night we got mom up & she walked farther than she has been able to since she was admitted! She was able to communicate a lot better too! The doctors are still trying to figure out what is causing the fever. They have taken samples & are trying to grow the bacteria to see what it is. I have been praying for the Lord to give them an answer. I know it's only when you need a miracle that you receive one & I am praying for one for my mom. I know that the Lord can heal & does heal so if it's His will I am praying that He will heal my mom. Whatever happens I know He will carry me through.
Ok how about seeing something pretty...

 Isn't it beautiful! My dear friend & downline Vicki made this for me! She knows I'm a sucker for anything vintage!
I hope to be back to share Bev's cute card tomorrow. =)
Anyway I have to get back to schooling the girls. ~Hugs

Update

This post is just an update...Mom's condition is continuing to get worse. She has been running a fever since Wednesday & the doctors don't really know why. For those that have had to watch a loved one dying my heart breaks for you since I now know your pain. I know the bible says we go through things so that we can be sensitive to others that are hurting so I know at some point we all have our own pain to bare. But the Lord promises to never leave us & when we are weak he will carry us through. I am pretty tough but this has completely broken me. I guess I am even more grateful that Jesus came to heal the broken hearted...Mom just called me crying & says she misses me & if we could come visit her but its way past visiting hours so I just stayed on the phone with her as long as I could. She can't get out too many sentences but she was able to tell me that she loves me & she couldn't find her 49ers shirt (Mom is a HUGE 49er fan) sorry had to throw that in to lighten the mood. I told her I took her clothes home to wash them & I would return her shirt tomorrow. Hopefully she will remember & not give the nurses a hard time about misplacing it. She has already gotten a little feisty with a few of them. Last night my hubby had to go calm her down because she was mad at her roommate for playing the radio too loud & she couldn't sleep. I am thankful that mom has had her dear friend John there with her for the last few days & she is glad too. On the phone she told me he helps her a lot. I can't be there with her all the time because they won't allow the girls there so it has been such a blessing to know that she isn't alone. I wanted to say thank you to Bev & Vicki for sending me such lovely cards letting me know they are praying for us. I appreciate it so very much. Maybe tomorrow I will have a chance to post them for you to enjoy.
Anyway I guess that is all for now...until next time...

Update

Unfortunately my mom's health is continuing to decline. She was admitted to the hospital last night because her liver has started to fail. She will stay there for a few days but the doctor says there isn't anything else they can do at this point. Ok anyway just wanted to give a quick update & hopefully make my post a little less depressing by sharing the card set I created for U Stamp...

Well its been a heck of a week around here! My hubby has been in Florida since Monday & I can't wait to see him today! I want to thank you all those that have been praying for us. I know that's the only way I made it through the week alone. Plus I got all the SAS card samples done! The grace of God is so amazing! I have done them a little differently this time so my gals have lots more creative options! So we will have 5 different card choices but most of the cards have extra options on the designs.
