I Love Free Paper!

It's July?!! I must be having way too much fun because time is just flyin' by!
I was excited to see what fun SU had in store for this month and was super happy to see one of my favorite promotions going on this month...Free DSP! I am a HUGE DSP hoarder  collecter. Pretty papers just make me happy & getting them free makes me even happier! There is just something almost magical about being able to choose perfectly coordinating papers to complete my projects. No guess work needed, SU has taken the hassle out of trying to match this to that and even lists the colors that coordinate with every pack of DSP on the back of the packages! Easy Peasy, right?
Ok now how about a new "clear" set...

And a new Best of set...

I will leave you with a very simple card that we made at Paper Pumpkin night...

Thanks for stopping by today!

Big News!

Woo Hoo! I was notified by Stampin Up that I was selected as one of the 20 finalist for the Artisan Design Team! It is such an honor to have made it this far & I'm excited to find out who else made it! I am sure there will be some amazing entries on display at Convention! Can't wait to see them!

Speaking of Convention, how about a little peek at one of my convention swaps...

These are 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 and I am making some custom size envelopes too. I LOVE the new In Colors so I did 3 variations with this card. Well thanks for reading my exciting news and taking a peek at my cards! It's been an exciting few days around here and I'm beat so I've gotta hit the hay. ;)

More Paper Pumpkin!

I used a bunch of my Paper Pumpkin stamps to make a card for my hubby. Next week we will be celebrating our 9th anniversary!

"Guy" cards are always challenging, especially for my sweetie. But I really liked how all these sentiments worked together and I think he will like it so mission accomplished!

Here are the other two projects my Paper Pumpkin Club members made...

Well thanks for stopping by today! Hope you're enjoying the weekend!

June Paper Pumpkin

Well this months Paper Pumpkin was a little challenging for me. The three colors they put together for this kit were just a bit off for my taste so I covered the mustardy color with the other elements in the kit and I was much happier with it! Anyway here is one of the cards my Paper Pumpkin club members will be making tomorrow night...
I love this new sentiment set called "A Dozen Thoughts"! It worked perfectly with this card. The cute little bees are from a new hostess set called "Postage Collection" which is so fabulous and totally worth hosting a party to get it, for free I might add! Anyway I gotta get back to getting the house in order for tomorrow. I took the girls to see Epic this morning so we are a bit behind...I 'll be back with more soon.

New Hexagon Punch

I Love the new hexagon punch! It makes creating banner tails super easy plus you can make other stuff like cute little arrows which seem to be very popular right now. Anyway let me show you how simple it is...

Easy peasy, right?

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you're inspired to give this new punch a try!

Happy Birthday Grandma

Tomorrow is my Gramma's birthday! I was happy to have actually gotten her card out on time! It's ridiculous that I am so bad with actually sending out the cards I make. Anyway here is a peek at the card I made for Grams...

I used a couple retired products but other than that it's mostly new toys! If I haven't said it yet "Smoky Slate is just Uh-Mazing". I seriously want to use it on every project I've made lately.
Anyway thanks for taking a peek at my card. ;) I hope to be back soon with more...

Inspired Thank You

I needed to make a gift card holder for the girls teacher & I was inspired by some cards Shelli had up on her blog today. While digging through the ridiculous mess I have created while making my display board projects I found the make n take kit we received at the SLC regionals & it was perfect for my project! Sad to see the 2 tags die & one of my favorite DSP's go but they paired perfectly with some new stuff to make something pretty for the teacher...

I totally stocked up on the rose trim too. I was really really really hoping it would carry over to the new catalog.(insert sad face) Anyway, thanks for stopping by today!

Supplies-
Stamps: Label Love, Notable Notions
Card stock: Coastal Cabana, Calypso Coral, Very Vanilla
Ink: Smoky Slate, Crisp Cantaloupe

Punch: 5 Petal Flower

Technique Tuesday

We always have such a great time at Technique Tuesday! This time we made gift card holders with the Pop n Cuts die base. I saw a great video by fellow demonstrator Mary Ellen Stites & I knew these would really come in handy. I had a few stamps to choose from besides the grad & some gals made thank you or birthday themes. They all came out fabulous! Here are the 2 samples I made & Mary Ellen's video! ~Enjoy

Just to clarify this video was made by Mary Ellen Stites not by me.:)

After much prayer, blood, sweat, & tears (so to speak) I am over joyed to announce my SU Artisan contest entries are on their way to SU! Now we...wait. I can't wait to share my entries after Convention. I am counting down the days!
Now I have to get crackin with my Displayboard projects...=)

Best Weekend!

I had such a fun weekend! Saturday night hubby took me to the Miranda Lambert concert! It was So much fun! I am a HUGE country music fan! We used to go to concerts a lot before the little ones came along & it really took me back to those days. It reminded me of how awesome it is to be married to your best friend & that after all these years (11 to be exact) we are still as much in love as we ever were. Then Sunday we had lunch at one of our favorite deli's & went to a huge antique store in San Francisco called STUFF, stopped by IKEA, hubby made Mom & me dinner, plus my oldest daughter came over & even brought me 2 gifts! She was very excited to be able to use her first pay check to get me a Mother's Day present. So proud of her. =)
Anyway enough with the mushy stuff...how about a card or 2!

I was blessed to be able to create a card for my Mom this year. I thank the Lord everyday for having mercy on her & pray that He will continue to have His hand upon her.

I had fun using up some of my SAB paper & paired with our new Smoky Slate it was even more fabulous! Love Love Love that color! This is one of the cards I made to send a little Mother's Day love to a friend. Well now it's time for the kiddos to get working on today's lessons so I gotta run. Hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend!

So much to say!

Oh boy has it been a crazy couple weeks for us! Ok so let me just start by updating you on Mom...She is doing SO much better! Getting around with out any assistance & her mental state has been great! Her doctor is in the process of moving her on to the transplant list which is a big deal since before he wasn't sure she would even make it long enough to get one. I know that it is God at work through all of the prayers that you have sent up for us, we are truly truly grateful! Next on the update list is our family vacation! We had my uncle come stay with Mom so we could take the kids on a 4 day cruise (Nice & Relaxing!) then a couple weeks before the cruise SU announced the first ever Regional Event at the home office...Now I did give my hubby the chance to shoot me down & say I was completely out of mind for wanting to spend 12 hours (each way!) in the car with 3 small kids just to get stuff a few days early but he didn't so we ran off the ship on Friday & headed straight for SLC. The girls were perfect the whole way.=)
SU really had me hooked when they said we would be the first demos to receive the New Catalog & Shop for new stuff! I came home with a bunch of fabulous stuff & best of all got to see whats coming in the new catalog!!!
Oh yes before I forget to mention my other wonderful news... As soon as we got in to our room on the ship I got an email saying I was chosen as a display board stamper for the 2013 Convention! I totally jumped up & down on the bed...fam thought I had won the lottery or something. LOL! Now I really can't wait for Convention! I booked my flight a few weeks back & registration opened while the ship was docked on Catalina Island which worked perfect since we were able to get Wi Fi there. Plus I get to room with one of my favorite people ever, the super talented Lynda Lee & hang out with some of my other fabulous stamping friends from our Stamp n Chat group! Hopefully there will be at least 5 of us going!

Ok enough about me how about a bit of fun for you...SU has a bunch of stuff on SALE!

Remeber most things are while supplies last.

While I was away my Paper Pumpkin kit arrived & I wasn't able to play with it til now but its so Fun! I am getting ready for this Friday's Paper Pumpkin Night! (Click here for details)

Still have a ton of stuff to do to get the house in order after being gone so long so I better go get to it...=)

Big News!

Well today I feel like I've been run over by a mac truck. My kids have been sick for a few days but I thought I had escaped it but no such luck. Anyway this morning I hopped on to the SU demo site to see what was going on (because when your sick in bed what else can you do, right?) & I found a couple fun announcements & just had to share the exciting news with you! Announcement #1 NEW Color Palettes!

(FYI the info at the end of this video regarding gettting free products & referring to the Stampin Success magazine is for demo's but loved the cards she made!)
Really excited to see some of my favorites have been added!
Retiring colors are only available while supplies last so if you want to stock up now is the time to do it! Plus to sweeten that deal...Announcement #2,  SU is offering FREE shipping on EVERYTHING from April 6th-8th! Ok now after all that excitement how about a little This n That...

I finished the front of my journal! I used the stickers, washi tape, & the "This n That" came from the journal packaging. Of course I had to incorporate a couple more of my Faves. Doilies & Rose Trim! Simple but cute, right?
Thanks for stopping by today! Hope your day is blessed!
