Well today I was over on the Paper Crafts Magazine blog to see what was going on with the World Card Making Day entries & I saw the list of winners, unfortunately I was not on the list. :( But they did have a photo of the cards they were judging & if you look toward the middle of the photo on the left you can catch a glimpse of my card! Happy Birthday To Me!

First off yes its 2 a.m. but what better way to start celebrating my b-day then hanging out in my stamp room! Actually I was going to go to bed a couple hours ago but just as I crawled in to bed hubby got a call & had to go back to work so I thought I'd try to wait up for him since he had just got home a couple hours before he had to go again. But I praise GOD he has a job! Anyway back to the card...

Woo Hoo just heard hubby pull up so I gotta run!

Counting Down The Days!!

I am SO excited about this round of U Stamp with Dawn and Friends! It focuses on my favorite tools...PUNCHES! Trust me these gals have designed some stuff that's gonna Knock Your Socks OFF!! I've got a few cute projects in there as well!

Wonderful Weekend

We spent the weekend at the Mt Shasta Resort. Our chalet was over looking Lake Siskiyou. It was absolutely wonderful! Thought I'd share a few pictures.

They even have a spa on site that offered services for kids! Oh my gosh my girls were giddy getting their first mani-pedi. It was adorable! Ok now its back to tend to the baby, she came down with a cold last night. She is super clingy when she's not sick so now I'll really be lucky to get anything done. Hope you have a wonderful week!

New Stocking Die!

I received a wonderful swap card made by Barb Faulkner & I loved her idea of making a card from the stocking die! Had to break open the adorable new felt accents & this was a perfect place to use one. This was my project for my last downline get together.

I made another version for our last demo stamp n chat & I will share that one later.

Recycled Butterfly!

I am kicking myself  right now for throwing out my daily Starbucks cup sleeves! I am sure most of you have seen the adorable corrugated cardboard embellies you can purchase here & there. Anyway today I was about to throw out my Starbucks cup & the kids had pulled the sleeve off & inside I saw the cutest corrugated cardboard! So off to my beloved Big Shot I went...

Now I am sure lots of other wonderful crafty gals have already had this idea but this is a first for me so humor me, ok? LOL! I have thought about using the boxes my SU products come in but then the embellishments are so bulky, which is ok if your not mailing the card. Anyway this works great for me since the sleeves are so thin plus the corrugated lines are a lot smaller. So Cute! Gotta Love Free Embellishments!  Hope you give this a try if you haven't already & I'd love to see what you've done with your recycled embellies! Post a link to your project in the comment section & I am going to put together some blog candy for my favorite one. I'll pick a winner on Friday 9/16. Good Luck!

Congrats Annette & Big News!

Ok here is the card I made for my friend, Annette, to congratulate her on the birth of her second grandson! I am so excited for her! Babies are so great!
I have one more card that I made for a friend that likes Marilyn.

I picked up the Marilyn stamp in Vegas awhile ago. If you haven't noticed I LOVE the Hand Penned Holidays set! Since I am an absolute PAPER ADDICT I am even more excited about not only creating something fabulous for you but also seeing all the amazing creations the other designers make for you! As a designer I have already gotten a sneak peek at some of the projects & they are BEAUTIFUL!

Paper Parade will be focusing on showcasing Stampin' Up! Paper from the USA/Canada 2011 - 2012 Idea Book & Catalog as well as the 2011 Holiday Mini Catalog!! Obviously not all papers are available in all the Stampin' Up! countries, so Designers from the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand will be showcasing the Paper Designer Series Paper Stacks (which by the way are some of my FAVES!!).

The Holiday mini is full of amazing project samples! I loved the card they made with the new Stitched Stockings set & I just had to case it! I made a couple little changes but I think it came out great! I embossed the sentiment with silver & added some of the new Silver Glitter Paper (OMGosh That stuff Rocks!). I'll be back later to upload a card I made over the weekend for a special friend...
