Stampin Up Artisan Blog Hop- Guy Greetings

Welcome to this weeks Artisan Design Team Blog Hop!
Our task this week was to create with the fabulous Guy Greetings stamp set! I must admit my hubby (a.k.a. Stampin Stud) has pretty much had this set in his possession since it arrived so I had to pry it out of his hands to get my projects done... Lol!

So my first thought was to make up a few fun tags & let my projects evolve from there.

I got these cute gift bags at Ikea recently & they inspired my color combo.

Sadly my father passed away when I was in my early 20's  but I love that this set has other male family members included. My grandpa (& grandma) is the one that raised me so I was excited to create these cards with him in mind.

Well thanks for hopping on over now lets go visit the wonderful Sarah Sagert!

Its Fancy Friday!

WELCOME to Fancy Friday!
It's always a little heartbreaking saying goodbye to our favorite toys but the sting is always quickly remedied once we get a glimpse of that glorious New Catalog!

But for today we are celebrating the retirement of some of our faves-

This Gold Soiree DSP is just all kinds of amazing & I will SO miss the Hello There hostess stamp set. But I must admit I was doing ok with the retired list until I got to the Champagne Glimmer Paper...SAY IT ISNT SO Waaaahhh! Then to add insult to injury, COASTAL CABANA & it about pushed me over the edge. Let's just have a moment of silence for the 2013-2015 In-Colors
 .....................................................................................................
Ok while I go grab a box of tissue head on over to visit my fantabulous friend Becky Cowley!

Stampin Up Artisan Blog Hop- DSP Showcase

Welcome to this weeks Artisan Design Team Blog Hop!
This week our assignment was the Gold Soiree &/or the Moonlight DSP stack-

I really enjoy the Gold Soiree paper, especially the slick surface it has. Feels so luxurious Lol!

Some of the patterns are a little bright so I decided to add a layer of embossed vellum to soften it a bit. My favorite pattern in the pack is that fabulous Gold stripe so I am hoarding it & only using tiny strips. Or maybe I will just go crazy & stock up since its on sale for 50% off!
Whoop Whoop!

For this one I really wanted to keep it Clean & Simple since that paper can just about stand on its own. Hubby had a little input on this one as we debated which paper to use- I was going to go with the Blackberry polka dot piece but Hubs voted for this one. I liked both so figured I'd let him think he won.. tee hee hee!

Alrighty let go see what beautiful creations Sarah has made for us today!

Stampin Up Artisan Blog Hop- Doggie Love

Welcome to this weeks Artisan Blog Hop!

Today we get to share the projects we made for the Stampin Up Facebook page!

I chose to use the Mother's Love stamp set & mix it up just a bit. When I saw this set I thought the 2 step stamp looked like muddy dog prints so I used the Baked Brown Sugar marker to draw little circles on the stamp to resemble dog paws even more.

Wouldn't this be a fun card to send to a friend that added a new fur baby to their family?
I am hoping that my Grandpa will be getting a pup soon to keep him company.
They have a way of being so therapeutic, don't they?!
Thanks for stopping by & keep hoppin around so you don't miss any of the fabulousness the Team has created!

Stampin Up Artisan Blog Hop- Birthday Surprise

Welcome to this weeks Artisan Design Team Blog Hop!

Our assignment this time around is the Birthday Surprise stamp set!

I must admit when I saw this set I felt a little uh...Challenged. But once I inked it up I was on a roll!

This is the most perfect set for those pesky Dude cards that we all struggle with!

Love how these turned out but the next card was my favorite-

For the last one I stamped the Birthday Hat in a rainbow of colors & punched them out with the... Pennant Builder or Christmas Tree, I cant remember which but either one should work, Lol!

Don't forget to stamp some fun Cello bags for your par-tay!

Now its time to hop on over to Sarah's lily pad & see what fun she has in store for us!!!!!!!!

Stampin Up Artisan Blog Hop- Mothers Love

Welcome to our first hop of the month!
I'm super excited for todays hop since we are doing things a little different- we will all be working with the same stamp set each week! Our assignment this week is Mothers Love...

So of course I have to start with a very straight forward Mother's Day card. The flowers were fussy cut from the Painted Blooms DSP. Sentiment stamped in Blackberry Bliss.

Then I started thinking of ways to change things up a bit-

Gotta love those Stampin Write Markers! Tip: If your image doesn't come out dark enough just trace over it with the same marker.
Worked like a charm & eliminated the slight splotchy look that you can get when using markers on your stamps. I love the font of these sentiments!

I wanted to use my Flower Flair Framelits in a way I haven't done before & am liking this a lot!

So my last card is for my hubby- we kind of joke around with the phrase "Like a Boss" so I knew exactly what I wanted to do when I saw the sentiments in this set.

Well I hope you have enjoyed my projects & I can not wait to see what the other gals have made so lets go visit Sarah!
