Well today I wanted to talk to you about C.A.S.E.-ing. (Copy And Share Everything) I have no idea who came up with this term but regardless I am huge fan of casing which ultimately means re-creating a project that someone else has designed. Of course out of respect for those sharing their ideas with you always remember to give credit where credit is due.
Anyway, the Stampin Up catalogs are always a great place to find inspiration so that's where I started! First let me just say the Four Feathers stamp set & Framelits are serious Must Haves! It was hard to choose just one sample but I finally narrowed it down to the fabulous card on page 42 of the Holiday Catalog.
Those three feathers were so amazing, I just HAD to make some for myself! So they are my CASED element. Sometimes you just need a little jump start to get you inspired, ya know? Ok how about I show you what I came up with-
I don't know why but this card just reminds me of Lisa Harlow. Isn't she Fab?!
Just in case you didn't catch how the feathers were made- the first one is made with strips of washi tape on a scrap piece of cardstock then die cut, the second is gold glimmer paper, & the third is just a white feather that has been pressed in to Versamark ink then embossed with Pool Party embossing powder. Fun, right?! Ok time to hop on over to visit Sarah!
