We have lots of birthdays in December & 

I wanted to share the card I created for my mom. 

This card really felt like a piece of art when I was creating it & I'm really happy with how it turned out!

 It’s time for the monthly TGIF Sketch Challenge! 

I have been admiring lots of mixed media artists on social media & when I saw this sketch I knew I wanted to make some upcycled Christmas tags. 

I may have went a little crazy with the glitter but I totally love it!

It's impossible to capture the sparkle on this card but it's so pretty in real life. 

Thinking I'm kind of addicted to making these & I'll probably be sharing more on my Instagram page.

The tags measure 4"x 2 1/2" & here's a quick video showing how to make them-

Scraps to Cards episode 2

Mouse Ears Embellishments!

I'm sure we all have friends or family that love to visit the Happiest Place on Earth during the holidays so why not use your craft supplies to make a special themed Christmas card for them?! 

Here's a little video to show you how I created the embellishments...

I used the 1/2" & 3/4" circles to punch out the shapes. It was fun to give these different looks by coating them in a variety of embossing powders & crystal effects.
