Eek! So excited about this one! While Hubby & I were brainstorming ideas for the TGIF site we threw around lots of ideas some stuck some did not-

Like stamping blindfolded- I had to veto that one sorry Babe.

Anyway this was one that we both thought was pretty cool. So you may be thinking What's this all about...well YOU get to mix 2 (or more) of the challenges we have had this month to inspire your project!

Stampin Up Artisan Blog Hop- Best Hubby Ever!

 

Welcome to this weeks Artisan Design Team Blog Hop!

 

I am super excited about what has been goin on around here- menaing at our house here not on my blog here but anyway let me just start by saying I Have. THE. BEST. HUBBY. EVER.

 

Now I know I am totally biased but hear me out- So as you may or may not know the Old Man, a.k.a. Stampin'  Stud, has taken up our art of Paper Crafting & while this has made me totally elated it has also made me a bit frustrated since that meant I now had to share my tiny 10 x 10ish already could be on hoarders craftroom which by the way is located in/off our master bedroom. Think its supposed to be like an attached nursery or office or something. Well the other day I had the hair brain idea of moving our bedroom in to our craftroom & making the bedroom in to a giant craft haven! Not too sure how he was going to react but when he said "YES, I think that's a great idea!" I almost fell off my chair. So over the past few days we have been working tirelessly to make that happen but I will blog more about that later guess I really should get to the CARD- 

 

 

The new Cherry on Top paper is seriously yummy but the flip side is also pretty cool for the dudes in your life & the Friendly Wishes stamp set definitely needs to be on your Need list!

 

I am sure you would agree that Hubby totally deserves this card & I can't wait to give it to him when we are all done with this crazy project! You may have been following the progress on our instagram feeds but here is a tiny peek at what it is lookin like so far...

Well as much as I wish I was stamping the day away Hubby & I embarked on Operation- Craftroom For Two this weekend. It may soun a little unconventional but we are turning our Masterbedroom in to our Stampin Studio! Check us out on Instagram to follow along! I love this type of challenge & if you read the post over there I hope you had a good chuckle at Hubby's descriptions. He's such a riot!

BUT anyway I loved the beautiful watercolor look & as I was thinking about what to do I saw that fabulous pack of....uh...yeah-that paper. Amazingly water colored & ready so I fussy cut some of those beauties & pasted them on & VIOLA!

 

 

It seems like I have a few friends that are going through a rough patch & I wanted to make some cards for them so I just LOVE this new sentiment so much!

 

Anyway I hope you have a chance to get  KER- AF- TE' with us this week~Cant wait to see what you are inspired to create!

Stampin Up Artisan Blog Hop- You've Got This

Welcome to this week's Artisan Design Team blog hop! I'm so excited to hop along & see what fabulous projects the Team has created for the Stampin Up Facebook page!

Well I went a little out of comfort zone with my card, using some vibrant bold colors & pairing them with the You've Got This set which screams beautiful & delicate too me.
So let's take a look...

Cucumber Crush is a super intense green & I would be more inclined to use it more sparingly but I thought what the heck "Go Big or Go Home" right? I paired it up with Watermelon Wonder (#love) & some fun pops of Gold. Used a Blender Pen to color the flower & the vellum was the perfect way to balance the softness of the flower by toning down the Watermelon a touch. 

I hope you are inspired to stretch yourself a little & try something new.

Well how about we kick it off with the first theme challenge over at TGIFC!

Grad season is in full swing so it's time to bust out your toys & make a few cards for your stash! 

I wanted to make a gender neutral card & you can't go wrong with black & white, right?

I haven't played with punch art in a while so I thought I'd make some tiny graduation caps using the Hexagon & Butterfly punches. Easy Peasy but I will put up a tutorial in a couple days just in case. The sentiments came from Guy Greetings- Such a great multi purpose set! It feels like I have been on a Stamp a Thon since this Craftastic box arrived- Today I have a set of 3 simple but pretty fun note cards to share...

 

It all started when I realized that all the adorable little In Color sequins that I had been hoarding were about to retire & I couldn't let them go with out a proper showcase of their fabulousness!

So I sat down with a bit of Crystal Effects & started going crazy attaching sequins! Luckily I had the Friendly Wishes & You're So Sweet stamp sets to be the perfect accompaniment to my glitz.

 

 

 

This last one came about when I was playing with the fun sketch featured as this weeks

TGIF Challenge. ;)

TGIF-#tgifc02 Sketch

Yay! It's Sketch Challenge Day!

I have a confession- Coming up with all the challenges over at TGIFC can be quite intimidating. Totally FUN too but c' mon thats a lot of pressure, hoping that our Superstar Team will like what I've put together PLUS making sure that what we put out there inspires you all to play along...with that said I want to give a great big cyber Hug & Thank You to all of you that entered last week's challenge & also everyone that left us sweet encouraging comments! As I said last week since we all put so much in to this, hearing from you & seeing all your lovely cards is our only reward!

Ok how about we take a look at what I was inspired to make this week-

I might be a little smitten with the A Whole Lot of Lovely stamp set at the moment! Don't worry if you're itchin' to get your hands on this set it will be available very soon!

 I was super happy with how this one turned out- I'm going to miss that Gold Soirée DSP & Cantaloupe plays so well with the new In Color Watermelon Wonder so stock up on both while you still can!

Stampin Up Artisan Blog Hop- A Whole Lot Of Lovely

Welcome to our first Blog Hop of the May!

I am super excited to be able to introduce you to one of my favorite Hostess stamp sets from the upcoming Stampin Up catalog- A Whole Lot Of Lovely!

Anyway kept this one CAS.

I paired this new stamp with the Gold Soiree DSP (love!) & it just went together so well with the new Mint Macaron Lace Trim! And see that circle? That's Watermelon Wonder!

FYI- Cantaloupe & Watermelon make for an awesome color combo & fruit salad...Yum!

 

Ok it must be close to dinner time, I need to finish up this post & get some grub so I better show you my other card-

 

 

On this one I used my new In Color Stampin Write Markers (Watermelon, Cucumber, & Dijon). Now you know how sometimes when you use markers directly on the stamp the result can be a little splotchy? Well I decided to fix that little problem by using my blender pen dipped in those colors to create a pretty watercolor look. I even used the markers to add a little more depth to the letters. Finshed it off with one of the new In Color flower embellies! I have to also point that that awesome striped DSP well its actually called Envelope Paper but I can already tell I love it so much on cards it may never actually be turned in to any envelopes LOL!

Its Finally Time! #tgifc01

We have been working tirelessly to get this site ready for its big opening day & I am thrilled  that it is finally here! We are excited to bring you a slew of fun challenges plus inspiration from some of the most creative & talented Stampin Up demonstrators I know! I can go on & on about how ecstatic I am but first let me brag on my amazing husband- Stampin Stud!

If it wasn't for him none of this would be possible. He is our amazing Team Lead & Blog Writer. He runs the logistics of TGIFC while I get to work on the fun stuff. He has spent many nights up til 2 a.m. getting things up & running & this is after working a 12+ hour day & needing to get up for work the next day. So lets give him a big round of applause!

I would also like to encourage you to leave comments for our fabulous design team as each of us donate a huge amount of time creating projects that will hopefully inspire you & your comments really encourage us to keep on doing that week in & week out- AND of course by all means PLEASE play along with us over at TGIF!
