Artisan Wednesday Wow

Welcome back! You may have just been wowed by the uber talented Jennifer Timko if not just keep hopping til you make it around! Today I have more DSP from the This & That journal! Shocker! I know! But I am loving it & next month we have a whole new box of goodies so I better use it while I can!

Q Q Cute! I even hid a little coaster board in there! I stuck the Hey There sticker to it & cut it out to get even more dimension. The hot air balloon is stuck on cardstock & is popped up on dimensionals.

For the front of my journal I just covered it with a pretty piece of DSP ripped from the inside. Added the stickers & a die cut ampersand, from coaster board of course...Easy Peasy!
Hope you've been inspired to rip a few sheets from your journal & make cute stuff!

Oh wait before you go....here is my newest UNDEFINED creation!!!

Cuz every girl needs a donut stamp right? LOL! For the record next to cupcakes, Krispy Kreme is my kryptonite. Glad the closest one is 2 cities away!
Ok now lets be like bunnies & hop over to visit Alanna!

To CASE or not to CASE?

Well todays post is all about CASING!!! Which means Copy And Share Everything...C.A.S.E.

BIG DISCLAIMER....If You CASE & post your creation on line PLEASE give credit to the original creator!!! Now if I'm just giving it to Grandma Betty I don't need to tell her I copied the card idea from someone else but otherwise please be respectful of others willingness to share their talents to inspire you.  Ok now on with the cards...

This one is a complete CASE of my fabulous friend Lynda Lee! The only things I changed were I added the piercing, a navy brad, & changed the sentiment. My cousin just had a baby boy & her hubby is in the Navy so this was perfect for them. =)

For the next one, I saw a cute card made by fellow demonstrator Aly Schilling. I made a few modifications but it is still very similar to her card. I changed the sentiment, added the Love die cut, black Chevron ribbon, Black matting, & Bakers Twine. Also I used our new Banner Kit stencils to do the polka dots on the card & matching envelope. Inside I stamped the "Seriously" sentiment from the  April Paper Pumpkin kit...I think it was April. I would share a pic but my photo editing program is being lame so you will just have to take my word for it. LOL!

Alrighty that's all I have for now...come back tonight to get a peek at this weeks Artisan Design Team creations! ~Hugs

Just an update & a Giveaway!

It has been so busy around here as I'm sure is true for most households this time of year! My girls are homeschooled and we are trying to enjoy the last few days of summer before school starts. They have had a fun summer filled with VBS, cooking camp, soccer, swimming lesson and one of their favorite things our weekly trips to get Ice Cream! Cuz it's not summer with out Ice Cream, right? Anyway sorry I haven't been posting more but the days are just flying by!
Yesterday  my Sweetie picked up a beautiful new craft table for me and we spent the afternoon building it and moving the furniture to make room! It's nice and tall and has 5ft of workspace! I will be sharing it with the girls once school starts but that's ok. For this moment it's beautiful and tidy...not for long I am sure since I finally cashed in my SU Artisan shopping spree! Squeal! My box will be here this week and I am SUPER excited!

Oh yeah before I forget I have a little giveaway over on my Facebook page!

Now how about a card or two!

This was our Technique Tuesday card using the faux chalkboard look. Love!

This was another I created for the Convention display board. Very cool DUDE card!

Thanks for stopping by and hope you come back for this weeks Artisan Blog Hop!
 It's gonna be fun!

Artisan Wednesday Wow

Welcome back to another Artisan Wednesday Wow Blog Hop! If you're arriving from Jennifer Timko's blog then you're just hopping right along & if not we make a big circle so just keep going!

Well after a few of the team members showed off their amazing hand carved stamps last week, I was thinking I wanted to share mine too! I have been wanting a cute palm tree stamp to make my Paper Paradise logo & couldn't find exactly what I was looking for, so UNDEFINED to the rescue!

It really was fairly easy to do. My hubby had me all intimidated by his cute owl so I gave it a try while he was out so in case I really messed it up I could dispose of it discreetly...and no one would be the wiser, LOL! But I was happy as a clam with the results & promptly showed off my creation to him as soon as he got home! He was impressed so I guess I did a good job! :)
Ok enough of my chatting. How about a card?

This card really took on a life of it's own during the creative process. The only idea I had in my head was the "polaroid" part. I wanted a sponged sunrise background to use with the palm tree but everything else just kind of happened. I wasn't sure how I felt about it so I let it sit on the shelf for a couple days & every time I walked by I liked it a little more!  So just in case you want to see the sponging process I took the following photos:

Then I die cut the scene with the square framelits & stamped the palm tree & added a touch of shading under it.

I used Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake, & Chocolate Chip. Ok on to another card!

I got brave & mixed my DSP's! Lol! Kept this card pretty simple but did add a tiny touch of sewing over the banners. That's all I have so now it's time to visit Alanna!
Thanks for hopping along with us & hope you're enjoying all the eye candy!

I'll be back to add the supply list later ;)

Artisan Facebook Friday!

Well today the Design Team has a special blog hop for you! Celebrating our first round of projects being posted on the Stampin Up Facebook page! See it HERE. Let me just say this team is Uh-Mazing! All 10 projects were over the top FABULOUS! You may have just came from Jennifer Timko's cute Christmas project, if not just keep hopping around we make a big circle. =)
I must say I am looking forward to hopping around too and seeing all that wonderfulness up close & hopefully getting a few tips & tricks too! Ok on to my projects...

Fun, right?! Ever since I got my This & That journal I have been itching to rip out some of those beautiful pages & make cards! Also LOVE the stickers! Alrighty, lets take a closer look shall we?

In our box of awesomeness this month we got COASTER BOARD!!! Well not just Coaster Board...we got a TON of other stuff too but for now lets just talk about the Coaster Board! Its kinda like a light weight cardboard. It can be stamped, inked, embossed, die cut...Oh the possibilities! It adds wonderful dimension & texture. I loved the natural look of it so all I did was die cut the letters with the Typeset Alphabet dies. A little DSP, Stickers, Bakers Twine & my Hubby's birthday card is D.O.N.E. Gasp...No stamping? Nope, no stamping on the card BUT I did get a little ink in on the gift card envelope if that helps. LOL!

The journal comes with a couple cute little envelopes & since my Hubby's favorite gift is cold hard cash or gift cards this was the perfect size! Added a little DSP, Washi Tape, a Happy Birthday greeting from the Label Love set, & a bit more Bakers Twine, cuz you can never have too much of that! Easy Peasy & ready for the Birthday Boy! Be on the look out for future Wednesday Wow those fabulous journal pages just might be making a come back! ;)
Ok now hop with me to see Alanna's amazing moving card!

I got to play with lots of new toys on this one! First lets talk about the Modern Medley DSP, being able to re-color it to fit any projects is pretty exciting! Next, 2 words. Coaster. Board. My Blurb

Ok as I said yesterday I had hoped to revise the blurb that SU published but I didn't catch it before it was scheduled to post soooo here is my revised version!

My name is Mercedes Weber & I signed up to be a demonstrator in 2004.
I am totally smitten with all of Stampin Up's products and I signed up just to get the discount! I was pregnant with #2 at the time and 11 months after #2, #3 came along...SURPRISE! So needless to say hosting parties was not in the cards for me. But after being home with them for over two years I needed some mommy play dates! I had already been a demo for 3 years when I decided to give workshops a real try. Now fast forward a few years and I have 5 amazing downline (Go Paper Paradise Stampers!) and absolutely LOVE teaching classes and spending time with my stamping friends every month! I have built so many wonderful friendships through Stampin Up and that in itself is totally priceless!
Now lets talk about my favorite toys! I could not live with out my Big Shot!!! I was at convention when it was first announced & I have been a believer ever since! I'm pretty addicted to Baker's Twine too! Yep, I would put it on EVERY card I make if I could! Hey wait...I can!
My stamping style is all over the place but my favorite is the shabby chic/vintage look. Also seems like I have to add texture & distressing to everything! What? It makes me Happy!!
I have lived in Northern California for all of my life. Go Niners!
I now have 4 beautiful daughters & an absolutely Uh-Mazing husband that supports my craziness 100%! I'm a self proclaimed cupcake-aholic! I'm also a huge country music fan & have a bit of an obsession with the Marvel Super Hero movies! I {heart} Iron Man!
I am beyond blessed to have been selected to serve on this years Artisan Design Team along side such amazing talent! Hope you enjoy our creations & are inspired to create your own works of art!

Artisan Blog Hop Day 9

Well I am glad you decided to hop on over!
I have my favorite card to share with you today!
It all started with a sheet of DSP from the Epic Day pack. It just screamed nautical to me! Blue water, fish bubbles, shipwreck, am I reaching? How about a dirty fish tank? Eh, either way it worked! See.....

Uber Cute, right?! I added a few of the sticker embellies & omgosh adorable whale, tiny fish, & anchor die cut! Squeel!!!!! Hope you got it before it retired. Also used the stamp a majig to change the sentiment to say "fish" instead of wish! ;)
Ok now on to the inside...

Eeeek! You gotta love it! Well I hope you love it, cuz I love it!
Oh yeah used vellum behind the punched circles on the front & inside for some added interest.
Well that was fun...lets keep this party goin & head over to Alanna's!

FYI: Tomorrow there will be CANDY!!! Also have another giveaway going on {here}.
